My name is Daisa Morgan, and I am thrilled to introduce you to Fingley World, a land filled with wonder, adventure and a touch of mystery. It’s a world where the impossible becomes possible, and every corner holds a new discovery.

I’m proud to be born and bred in Yorkshire, at a time when children’s programmes were only screened in black and white. Shows like Andy Pandy, The Wooden Tops and Bill and Ben shaped my love for storytelling. But my journey began long before then, English and Music were my favourite lessons, and one day we were given a composition to write title ‘The Stuff That Dreams Are Made of.’
I remember daydreaming in class, picturing a vibrant, magical land where trees and flowers smiled and danced in the breeze.

Many years later, living near the Gabrielle Designs studios in Doncaster, I was always intrigued by the huge Paddington Bear on the building. It left a lasting impression on me. Paddington reinforced the idea that every child needs a friend to confide in.

That inspiration coupled with the eventual experience of living in an eco-house in the north east of Scotland led me to create Dodl, my very own wise talking bear, his adventurous buddy Dottie, and the magical Fingley World along with the treacherous Kingdom of Grednor.

With each book, I invite young readers to explore deeper, to meet new characters and to uncover the rich tapestry of myths and legends that make up this enchanting realm.

My goal is to create stories that not only entertain, but also inspire young readers to embrace their own curiosity and courage. In Fingley World they will find a place where their imagination can soar, where they can see themselves in the characters, and where they learn that even the smallest amongst us can make a significant impact using mindfulness as a super power!

I hope you will fall in love with Fingley World, and my stories as much as I have enjoyed bringing them to life.
